Relatively new. Probably the best burnt ends I've ever had. I am a huge BBQ fan... Very loyal to Arthur Bryant's..... But, I crave these burnt ends.

We are coming back. Full disclosure: my copyrighted Top Three in KC are Jack Stack, Joe's Kansas City, and Papa Bob's. I had the burnt ends bowl and my wife had the assorted sliders. Good BBQ, sides, and selection. Specials alone would bring me back ($1 canned beers on Friday!), but this is good BBQ with some imaginative combinations.

Bought an excellent slab of carry out ribs earlier in the week, so went back for dine-in. I tried the 119th St bowl and my wife had the burnt end sandwich. The burnt ends were fatty. The bowl had more potatoes than meat. Both dishes disappointed us. We don't plan to return, but if we end up there with a group, we will get the ribs.

This place is one of my favorite in the Kansas City area. Hardly any line and the service was fantastic. They were so helpful and kind with my two toddlers. They had crayons and pictures for them to color and the staff set up their booster seat and high chair for us. The food was fantastic. I had the burnt ends bowl and it was filling and oh so very tasty. The meat was tender and lean, no chewy fat to be had. I ate it all up. I wasn't the biggest fan of the cornbread but even still, the rest of the bowl more than made up for that. Flavorful, filling and no fatty meat. I would definitely recommend this place as one of the must eat bbq joints to eat at if you're in the Kansas city area!

I have been here three times. Each time I have ordered the burn ends dinner. Each time I was served a plate of fat cubes. Each time, the manager was nice enough to replace my plate of fat cubes, however, they were also replaced with new plates of fat cubes. Very disappointed!

Food and service has been great every time we go! One of our favorite BBQ restaurants. Reasonable prices. We always get the BBQ platter that feeds 2-3 for 25 bucks. Great deal and we get a little bit of everything! Definitely recommend!

Not exactly your typical KC BBQ joint (it's clean and modern), but the food is delicious. I've tried the burnt ends, pulled pork and brisket and was pleasantly surprised by all. Tender and well flavored all around. As far as sides, I've only had the fries, but they were solid.

We were looking for a place with at least a few gluten-free options on Saturday and decided that Burnt End BBQ would probably work for us. It is a cheerful place with a very large menu based on barbecue and burgers. There were five adults and two kids under six. Ordering is done at one end of the main counter which meant getting everyone to decide fairly quickly but the counter man was polite and efficient and then we were given a number, our glasses for drinks and found seats. Everyone ordered sandwiches and several got sides of fries or beans and all were delivered pretty quickly to our tables. My order was the Jumbo Combo sandwich and my two choices of meat were burnt ends and sausage. DD#1 got a sliced brisket sandwich and a granddaughter got pulled pork while the grandson got the ham sandwich. Hubby got a burnt ends and one great grandson got a Kid's turkey sandwich (hold the bread) and french fries which he loved and the other great grandson went for the Kid's hot dog. So we got to see lots of choices on the plates. My Combo was good and with generous portions of both meats. I thought the brisket and the ham both looked very good as well. There were three sauces on the table and a few more available up front where the drink dispenser is located. I didn't try any of those, but of the three at the table, all were based on the sweet side of sauces and one had an additional kick of heat, but still sweet. I actually like sweet sauce most of the time but a couple of our family wanted something less sweet, more bold. This is why I withheld the 4th star. I LUV barbecue and Kansas City barbecue can be amazing. I would go back to Burnt End BBQ if we find ourselves nearby. I'd sure like to try the brisket, which my daughter said was great and I'd like to try that beautiful, thick sliced ham which I thought looked wonderful.

Went for lunch when visiting the area. Yummmmmm!!!! I had the pork belly skillet. Super super yummy and highly recommended. Can't wait to come back!

I've heard several things about KC BBQ so thanks 2 my fellow yelpers I wanted 2 try this place out. Upon arrival the line was long but moved fairly quickly. I ordered the burnt ends BBQ sandwich with baked beans and a Bread Pudding (to go). The sandwich was pretty good. The first time I've been 2 a BBQ restaurant and it wasn't served with sauce so I used the juice from my beans to give it that extra "umph" of flavor. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable experience.

While visiting Kansas City I heard they have the best BBQ. Being from Houston I was skeptical. I had the burnt ends sandwich and it was really good! The meat was tender and flavorful! I definitely recommend!!!

All sauce and no meat flavor. A true BBQ failure. There was so much sauce on my pulled pork sandwich it tasted more like a sloppy joe. To its credit: it does taste good, it's just not spectacular barbecue. Plus the place is clean and well kept. That always counts for something. There are too many great barbecue joints in KC to go to a just okay one. This one is okay, so I doubt I'll be back.

The Ol' Smokey sandwich with fries and a drink Thursday special ($7.99) is a great value. My hoagie-sized sandwich was piled high with moist, delicious pulled pork and Cole slaw. Several award winning BBQ sauces were available. The fries were tasty, meaty, and plentiful. The restaurant interior was nicely decorated, inviting, fairly new, and clean, with pleasant music. The service was friendly, cheerful, and attentive. Daily specials, punch cards, and e-mail offers were available. What's not to like?

Excellent BBQ place. Had lunch of the build your own bowl with burnt ends and brisket. Later tried the pulled pork and it was even better than the brisket. But the Ends were the highlight. WOW Cheese grits were the right consistency and also enjoyed the corn bread. Two dollar Tecate sealed the deal. Nothing fancy but would not hesitate to go there with any group or family. Clean and well lit. Friendly staff. Wish there was one near where I lived...I would be there often. Definitely a five star lunch.

  • Eric P.

Wow! I've never had burnt ends cooked to perfection like I had here!!!! Cooked just the right amount - no to tough or to tender... Just perfect... Only thing I didn't like was that the meat had little to no rub on them and in turn had very little flavor to them...

  • Jennifer D.

We were driving around down south and decided it would be a perfect time to try some place we've never been. The Man is always in the mood for BBQ and I needed a new place to mix it up a bit... Thanks to other Yelpers for identifying this little BBQ diamond in the rough! After a lot of hemming and hawing over the menu, yelper suggestions, and addressing my own idiosyncrasies I settled on the smoked turkey ruben. The Man did a 2 meat plate with baby back ribs and burnt ends. We both ordered the onion straws and The Man also got cheesy corn. The onion straws were perfect! They were well seasoned and they give you a ton of them. The smoked turkey ruben was so moist and flavorful I could hardly believe it! Turkey has a tendency to get dry but not the case with this sandwich. Plus I really enjoyed the slaw they put on in place of sauerkraut. The Man was in smoky heaven and seriously impressed with his ribs and burnt ends. He insisted on me trying both and I have to agree...compliments to the chef were in order! I am not a fan of burnt ends due to their generally significant level of marbling but I can definitely see snagging at least a couple from The Man next time we visit. You immediately get the beautiful flavor of smoke and meat when you bite into the burnt end. I was also told they do not 'manufacture' burnt ends. They are the real deal from the tip. I say good on them and keep up the excellent work. As for the ribs, they also had excellent flavor, were cooked properly - providing a perfect bite, and the serving size was good. The service was very friendly and everyone was helpful. We will be back and we will be turning others on to this place. Nom nom nom

Excellent BBQ! Recommend the Burnt End Bowl, The Chop, and the Burnt End Sandwich. So far anyway.... We'll be baaaackk! Great selection of BBQ Sauces, try them all and pick a favorite, we like the Honey BBQ Sauce, sweetened to,perfection ! Yummers! The help is great too.

  • Jennifer G.

I stopped by for a to-go quick lunch. The cashier recommended "The Chop" sandwich that contains burnt ends, beef, & pork with only straws on a roll. It cost me a little over $8 with tax. It was hard to really distinguish between the meats in the sandwich due to the fact they already doused it with their BBQ sauce. It was a good size sandwich but the filling was more mush & not much texture. I did like the crunchiness & flavor of the onion straws (wanted more) on the sandwich. I might try this place again but a different sandwich & request the sauce on the side. The sauce was not real memorable either so I would want to try their other sauces. They had numerous side item choices!

They do Deep Fried Pickles right. The dinner portions left us FULL. Highly recommend the sweet & spicy coleslaw. My honey had the Burnt Ends and I enjoyed the Brisket. I've cruised through and enjoyed their lunch specials during the week several times.

My wife and I tried Burnt End in this new location, and we really enjoyed it. She had the Chopped Sandwich and said it was great, I had the Stacked sandwich and loved it. I also like that the sides are substantial. .and the place was fast. The group this place- PB&J restaurants always does an outstanding job, and my wife and I will be back.

  • Veronica W.

It was OK, but didn't compare to my gold stanard which is Jackstack. The cheesy corn and beans were not to my taste. The chicken was over smoked and dry. Hubby liked the ribs but his chicken was dry as well. The manager was friendly and chatting at the table and listened to our opinion about the chicken with interest. Would probably try it again, but next I'm ordering the shrimp and grits!

Far surpassed expectations. Visited while in town on business. Have eaten at many other KC BBQ joints and have to put this at the top for quality taste and service. Definitely coming back.

  • Jason B.

This place competes in a big bbq market. Brisket and turkey are solid entries. Nothing spectacular but solid. The namesake burnt ends are visually appealing, but need a little more savory. So why 5 stars? I'm admittedly tough on Q places. It's my favorite category. Despite some criticism it's 4 star Q. What sets this place apart is the sides and other dishes. The cheesy corn is outstanding. The secret culinary delight at Burnt End is the smoked pork belly on cheesy grits. It's served with... wait for it... Brussel sprouts! Just. Simply. Amazing.

    (5)
  • Laurel C.

I had the ham sandwich and really enjoyed it. The fresh cut fries are also good. They have seasoning on them which make them even better. The cornbread isn't too bad. It's not very sweet and was a little dry.

  • Kay L.

Happy to say that they seem to have worked out a few kinks & this is now one of my fave lunch spots. They have burnt ends every day, unlike that really really famous place that only has 'em three times a week -- and they're consistently good; a little fatty, but that's what it is. The sausage is also pretty darn good. Service is always quick & friendly. Portion sizes seem to be more consistent -- and large! Good choice for a casual BBQ lunch.

Wanted take out on a Friday night, but wanted to try a new BBQ place. Found them on yelp and not disappointed at all. Burnt ends, sweet and spicy Cole slaw, and hickory beans. Slaw has a kick to it, burnt ends were meaty and flavorful, beans were good. Will be stopping by in the future for more take out.

  • Kim J.

I love Burnt Ends. The brisket sandwich is my favorite and its consistently good. I order it every time I go. The Burnt ends are really good and the ham sandwich is good too. The only thing we didn't like was the corn bread. It's a nice atmosphere and the people there are really nice.

Great lunch specials. Service is quick. If they'd only switch to Coke products they would get that 5th star!

Best kept BBQ secret in Johnson County! This place really surprised me. Delicious tender morsels of the best smoked burnt ends. They are hitting on all cylinders: great food, good prices, no crowds, clean place, friendly service, even a patio area for the nice days. They even serve beer -- what else do you want?

So in town on travel again and naturally I visited the places I enjoyed on my last trip. Yet again this restaurant exceeded my expectations. Brought a co worker with me he was equally impressed. Great food. Easy process. A must visit.

Burnt Ends BBQ Arrived with absolutely no expectations other than a rumbling belly. Luckily, that belly got full on smoked meats. Tasty meat! Ordered a 3 meat platter, burnt ends, pulled pork and ribs. All were delicious. Though, guess what, the burnt ends tasted best, wow...how surprising, "its in the name." The sauces banged, like an improvised explosive device (IED)! No impotency, no underperformance. GIRTH from sweet, mild, regular, hickory, spicy and habanero. Pow! Mother f***ing Catilina Wine Mixer. As a whole, a must visit for BBQ lovers. I am however afraid this place might not stand for long considering their location and obscurity amongst residents. Maybe they should consider a telethon hosted by someone famous? Sincerely, Enjoy your stay!

Very good, we got the royal platter. For sure 2-3+ worth of food. Price is decent and everyone is friendly. Loved it!

Husband and I both did the build your own bowl, came with cornbread, two meats and two sides. I expected it to be all dumped together like a chipotle bowl but it wasn't. It was like a big shallow pasta bowl with everything on its own side, could easily eat items separately. I got burnt ends and pulled pork with cheesy corn and beans. Very impressed with burnt ends, very tender and wonderful smokey flavor! Pulled pork was average. Cheesy corn was thick and delicious, kind of a cream cheesy base with bits of ham. The beans were also good, average pit beans. The selection of sauces hit the mark with something for everyone. My favorite was the sweet chipotle glaze or the bold one. Tried husband's brisket and it was VERY good too, I would replace my pulled pork with it next time! Paid 9.75 for each bowl but I have enough leftovers for another meal so it was worth the price!

I wanted to give this restaurant a 3.5. Plus I am not the biggest fan of BBQ. However, when I do I frequent bbq joints I go to Jack Stacks, Char Bar & Joes. Pros: The (hoagie)sandwiches were LOADED with meat. Flavorful.Several bbq sauces to choose from. Do it yourself drinks/refills My only con: Sides should come with the meal. I don't mind the extra cost. But don't charge $9.00 for sandwich, $3 for side, $3 drink. Just offer $15 meal & call it that. Try it!

  • Susan S.

You are most likely to find me eating my lunch at my desk during the work week, so the fact that I went to The Burnt End twice in the same week is pretty notable. I ended up having the bowls both times, to maximize the number of things I was trying. Therefore, I can vouch for the goodness of the pulled pork, burnt ends, brisket and sausage. The beans and "hot potato salad" (really more like a loaded scalloped potato thing) and cornbread are all excellent. On one occasion they mixed up my sides. When I said something, I expected they would take the incorrect side away, but they insisted on bringing out what I had ordered and leaving what they put on by accident. So it's weird to rave about service at a place where you order at the counter, but they do a good job. I don't know, it seems like a barbeque place pops up on every corner in KC, and while this one may be a little more corporate than some of the greats, it's for sure worth a visit.

Just ate here with a friend and we tried both of their Monday Lunch Specials. I had the Burnt Ends sandwich with fries and a drink for $7.99. It was delicious and a generous portion of meat. Very good value. He got the Burnt Ends platter with toast, two sides, and a drink for $9.99. He also enjoyed his meal. In my opinion you get a better deal with the sandwich special because we received the same amount of meat it seemed, so he basically paid $2 more for an extra side. There were many sauces to choose from sweet to "fire". None of the sauces were amazing to me, but all that I tried were good. The environment was clean and welcoming. The cashier was spectacularly pleasant. There are TVs if you're trying to catch a game. No complaints, I'd happily return.

We were in the area and saw through yelp of this place. Very clean and accessible. The burnt ends were awesome, beans were average. My friend had tomato and cucumber salad and she said there wasn't any flavor. . Overall she did like her sandwich and i did like my meal and we would return.

KC Barbeque is tough competition but this is one of my favorite local places to pick up dinner to go. You can't beat the value. I've tried the burnt ends, pulled pork, ribs and turkey; none of which have left me complaining.

  • Brad F.

This was a no nonsense, order up, sit down and enjoy your food quick barbecue joint. The burnt ends were definitely among the best I've had. They have a great selection of different barbecue sauces including a couple of tasty spicy ones. I would come back here again.

Well, Burnt Ends bbq was slightly above average but definitely NOT great. There is only one location & it's locally owned. But it is obvious to my trained eyes (Ive wortked in the restaurant biz for nearly 25 years) that they are hoping to franchise this place. There were 5 different sauces that all tasted like a slightly different version of store bought KC Masterpiece and were not very distinguishable. In fact we all agreed the best sauce we had was the honey dipping sauce served with the fried pickles. The meats were all equally good with the chicken & burnt ends being the highlights, both being moist, tender and flavorfull. The burnt ends were a bit fatty. The spare ribs were pretty scrawny and a slightly greasy, but for $14 per rack what would you expect, lol. The sides were forgettable unfortunately. With so many great bbq joints in KC i will probably not be coming back. It was a bit confusing that this is NOT a full service restaurant, but they gave mixed sigmals on tipping. Like the HUGE tip jar at the cash register, tip line on the credit card slip. Also the fact that the meals were not served on throwaway plates but instead on chinawear that had to be cleared by an employee which made me want to tip. But we had to get our own drinks from the drink fountain, lol. We did leave a tip as the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. But Burnt Ends suffers from a bit of an identity crisis in my opinion. I know this review might seem harsh, but in a town known for World Class bbq, you better bring your A game and expect highly critical reviews!

I loved the food (burnt ends, beef brisket, cornbread were faves). My favorite sauce was Fire. I even bought a bottle to bring home to MN. It was only $6. Service is great when it's not too packed. We were in town for a national tournament and word spread (okay, I told a LOT of people about them). They were slammed on a Monday night and didn't have enough people behind the counter to keep up. In all fairness, who expects a butt in every seat on a school night? In conclusion, this place is the best.

  • Erik B.

Stopped in here for a late lunch. The sandwiches are a good portion of you're hungry but not starving. Very clean. Meat was pretty darn good, though I've had better. Service was polite and fast. Sauces were great; the spicy was actually spicy. Overall, very solid. I recommend the chop sandwich with mac and cheese.

Visited burnt ends on a recent stop in Overland Park. The burnt ends were delicious. Tender and juicy, the ends had great bark on them and full of smokey flavor. The staff was extremely helpful since it was our first time eating here. They gave us generous samples of burnt ends and the ribs. I will make burnt ends my "go to" spot for lunch on future trips to OP.

OMG Yum! My daughter recommended this place and said the Pork Belly Skillet was awesome! I definitely agree! The pork belly was tender and flavorful and the cheesy grits, shaved Brussels sprouts and fried onions were all a perfect combination. My boyfriend had the burnt ends and gave me a bite mmmmmhmmm! So good. We will definitely be returning.

We went to this place two days in a row; thats how good they are I got the 9 piece wings and a regular order of onion straws. My friend got one of their "Bowls". We asked if they would travel and Microwave well as we would be going back to the hotel for New Year's Eve celebrations and would be eating later. The staff was friendly and accomodating. They gave us tips what sauces to order as they had at least 6 different kind. The best part was you could go into the lobby and try/take any of their sauces to go without a extra charge (Hear that Gates) !!! When we came back hours later to eat it was wonderful. My onion straws were still good cold. When we came back the next day not only did they remebered us they remembered what we ordered!

  • John A.

My biggest mistake by choosing the burnt end barbecue restaurant, was not just ordering the Burnt ends . The burnt ends would be a five star rated entrée. However, I ordered the combination and the brisket was a two star brisket. Very dry, tough, and too much fat. As well, the sauce was way too sweet. It Reminded me of the old Kansas City masterpiece barbecue sauces. Sick, GUI, and very very sweet. I too would give the sauce a two rating. However, if you're looking for some great burnt ends, Second-best to only Jack stack. I would recommend this restaurant. Interesting that I learned the head chef actually came from Jack Stack. Thus the reason the burnt ends were so excellent. Don't order the brisket and don't come here if you only like nonsweet sauces

  • Dawn C.

Yum! Super burnt ends!! Husband ordered a half pound of a la carte meat (burnt ends of course! I ordered a one meat platter (also burnt ends) and chose fries and pit beans as my sides which we shared. Both plates came with Texas toast and pickles. We had plenty and relished every bite. Tender and smokey! Tried at least 4 of the sauce variations, I think thick & bold was my favorite! Husband says chipotle rocked his world! The menu had plenty of others things that looked delicious and peeking at what other diners had on their plates and the smiles on their faces I think the general consensus was a happy one! Not sure I'll ever stray from the burnt ends though, seriously amazing!! We will be back! And I will be suggesting this as a place to buy catering for the office!

Good new restaurant from PBJ group. A little hard to find but in one of the highest traffic areas of OP. Burnt ends have way too much fat, need to take the time to trim them a bit and then they will be better. Burnt end bowl is a unique entree that no one else has in the marketplace. Love the selection of sauces.

So far, you can't go wrong w/ the BBQ bowl nor the pig out bowl. Both are petty much well done bbq. Finish it off with a dollar pbr and it's Friday... You're in good shape

I ordered the burnt end dinner special. Burnt ends and two sides, beans and fried onion straws. I hate it when they give you such a little cup of beans. But they were only average anyway. Needed some brisket juices to kick it up a notch. The onion straws were a tad cold but this was probably due to it being a takeout order. They were very good and very nice portion size. The burnt ends here are pretty dang good too. Crispy burnt chewy. Amazing flavor. The crispy burntness did make them just a little dry though. Not much. Now this is kc so we have a lot of bbq to pick from. This place has a lot of potential to compete with Jackstack and Joes Kc. The sauces here are typical thick sweet smokey kind of Kc style. I didn't try them all but they had 6-7 to choose from. I'm only giving 3 stars. Really 3.5. I ordered food Togo so I think had I eating in store they'd get a bump up to 4. I will go back. Overall it was very good.

I was visiting from Chicago in March and still can't get this meal out of my head. I had the burnt ends, brisket and cheesy corn. WOW!!! Is an 8 hour drive too far to go for dinner? Not when it's Burnt End BBQ!!

  • Kevin K.

This place is appropriately named as the burnt ends were phenomenal. We also tried ribs, baked beans, fries & onion straws. The baked beans were also very good. The ribs were ok, definitely not the best in town but not a waste of money. Fries were thick cut, appropriately seasoned. Unfortunately the onion straws did not score well at my house. They lacked flavor and tasted like something pre- packaged you would find at your grocery store. Service was friendly, fast and helpful. I would go back, they have a few unique items on the menu I would like to try i.e. Barbecue Bowls. And the burnt ends will be a must get as well. Overall, it is worth giving this place a shot if you want to try something new and different from your regular spots.

Tough to beat! After three lunches here I again walk out saying Wow. I like these leaner, smoky burnt ends better than others locally. I love the daily specials too.

I'm not a barbecue expert; but, I do love food. This place has never disappointed me, ever. My friends and I eat here every couple of weekends. The place is clean and inviting. The staff is amazing. They are very kind and accommodating. Just a really fantastic place to eat.

Nice place, friendly folks, and fast service. I had the burnt ends and the smoked turkey...they were perfectly fine, without being transcendent. The cheesy corn was good and the cornbread was adequate cornbread. The existential problem the restaurant faces is of course the close proximity of Oklahoma Joe's. If you wanted a decent place to watch sports and have BBQ, perhaps you would choose Burnt Ends. If the only criterion were to be food, well, you could close this place and no one would notice. Sad, but true.

I was so looking forward to a great Kansas city barbecue. Because of the yelp reviews I young it's try this place. The burnt ends didn't disappoint. The smoked turkey was unfortunately dry. Hickory beans were flavorful. I decided to try the cornbread. I could have saved the calories, but it wasn't dry. I can't give more than two stars because of the service. The young lady at the to go register was rude, I felt like I was annoying her making an order...I won't return. I spent way too much for mediocre food with bad service.

Just started a low carb diet, so we were looking for low carb options, and BBQ is a good choice for that. Burnt ends were beyond phenomenal!! Ribs, pulled pork, and turkey were delicious. Boyfriend and I split the Royal Platter, and there was plenty for both of us. I loved the coleslaw, and the fries were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. We will definitely return. Love that they have burnt ends available all day, every day, unlike some other BBQ places.

  • Lauren M.

I went here for dinner last night, and was not impressed. I did try my husband's burn ends and they were decent. I had the turkey sandwich, so let me start from the top. The slices of turkey weren't thin, they were thick pieces which made it hard to eat in sandwich form. I ended up just taking the turkey off eating it in bbq sauce. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce either. The cheesy corn was average, I've had better and worse. Our service was really good. The fried weren't crisp, they were mushy.

I had the Pork Belly Skillet. Melt in your mouth pork belly with fried onion strips on top, above delicious Brussel sprout shavings and cheesy grits. Not to mention a ring of their amazing BBQ sauce around the whole thing. I could eat it every week. I also loved the honey BBQ sauce they had as an option with local honey in it. It was very thick and was already the consistency of honey so it is very sweet but very good.

One of the best rib places I've been to in my short time in Kansas City. The location is easy to get to and the service is great. Me and my wife eat here often (both eat in and carry out). Highly recommend it.

Traveling on business I stopped in for some BBQ and it was amazing. I don't have a lot to compare to because we don't have a lot of BBQ places by us but it blew my idea of good BBQ out of the water.

I have eaten at Burnt End BBQ many times(20+ according to my punch cards). Mostly for lunch, but a few times in the evenings. The location is very convenient for me. You order at the counter when you come in and they bring the food to you. My go to menu item is the burnt end bowl. The first few times I had this, it was the best burnt ends I had ever had. They were melt in your mouth tender with perfect smokey flavor, and I didn't run into any really fatty pieces. The beans were good. The cornbread was good. The onion straws were good. The sauce selection was good. The service was good and the food comes out really fast. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was nice. The prices weren't bad, but when you add in a side(or 2) and a drink, it gets a bit pricey for lunch. The third time I ate here and got the burnt end bowl, I was disappointed by the amount of fat that I had in my burnt ends. Some pieces were only fat. Luckily, I didn't run into this on my first visit, or I may not have returned. After this, I decided to give some other items a try and went for a turkey sandwich, which was perfectly moist and flavorful, and that became my go to item. Then I ordered it on another visit and it wasn't as good(a bit dry), so I continued to explore the menu. Knowing that each cow is different(some fatter than others), I tried the burnt ends several more times in both the bowl and on a sandwich. 3/4 of the time, they are awesome, the other 1/4, the are still really good, but have a little more fat in them than I prefer. The bottom line is that they have great BBQ meat, but once in a while, they get a brisket point with more fat on it and a lot of the fat ends up on the plates(or maybe they are all equal and I just get the fattier parts 1/4 of the time). If it weren't for those few times when my burnt ends were full of fat, I would give these guys 5 stars. I really hope they can improve their consistency, because when the burnt ends are good, they are the best I have had.

Had the sampler. Came with 4 slider style bbq sandwiches. They all tasted really good but the burnt end and pulled pork were my favorites. The Pit beans were good, with smokey flavor. The cheesy corn was good but could have used some salt and pepper. The service was very helpful in suggesting this platter for me. And just friendly in general.
